Description

Set Temporary IP Address utility is available in Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer - PLC. This feature is available for PACSystems or VersaMax ENIU targets only (by right-click the target, point to Offline Commands, and choose Set Temporary IP Address).

VersaMax IC200CPUE05 does not have the capability of temporary IP Address setting from LD-PLC "Offline Commands">"Set Temporary IP Address" tool.

Resolution

Setting the initial TCP/IP Address to the Versamax IC200CPUE05 will be done in the hardware configuration of the CPU. The initial TCP/IP Address is (0.0.0.0) has to be changed to the appropriate value and will be stored to the CPU memory with the hardware configuration after serial download (SNP).

After setting the TCP/IP Address with the initial serial download of the configuration, the CPUE05 can be accessed via Ethernet port at the given IP Address. Make sure that

  1. You have connected the device to the Ethernet network.
  2. IP Address of the specified target (VersaMax PLC with CPUE05) is set to the indicated address.
