Description

When trying to connect to a PLC OPC UA Server using a OPC UA Client such as UaExpert , a connection error from the client “BadUserAccessDenied” may be seen in information log.

Resolution

If an OPC UA Client is configured for Anonymous server logon, the PLC controller passwords settings must be set for Disabled. If set for Enabled, the UA client will not be able to connect to PLC UA server with error message ‘BadUserAccessDenied’

In the PLC project hardware configuration, go into the CPU module configuration > Settings Tab > Set Passwords Parameter to Disabled. Download and then start PLC. Then restart the UA Client.

Here is an example of a IC695CPE400 (also applicable to all products supporting UA server such as IC695CPE305/310/330 and RSTi-EP CPE100 or CPE115).
