If you cannot locate the EDS or GSD file for Emerson products on the Emerson support website, you may be able to export them from Machine Edition instead (assuming they have been imported once before into PME or were installed by default). 

1. Create a new Machine Edition project (any kind of project) so as to have access to the Toolchest window 

2. If not already shown, open the Toolchest window by going to “View” in the main options and selecting the “Toolchest” check box 

3. Click on the drop-down list in the Toolchest window and select either “DeviceNet Devices” or “Profibus Devices” 

4. The following steps can be performed on any of the devices listed in the group selected from the previous step. However, we will demonstrate the export process on Emerson related product for this example. 

5. Expand the “Emerson” folder 

6. Right click on any of the devices listed 

7. Select “Assistants” and then “Write to EDS[GSD] File...”
