Problem

VersaMax micro 20/40/64 point shows 'system configuration mismatch fault' on power up or during download of hardware configuration.

Clearing the fault tables allows PLC to go into run mode, but the fault resurfaces on power cycle. Why?

Solution

One possible scenario is that the software configuration shows port 2 setup for Ethernet, but there is no Ethernet option board (IC200UEM001) physically attached to port 2 on the micro.

If the IC200UEM001 module is not used, then configure port 2 to NONE and download updated configuration to PLC. Power cycle again after downloading to confirm the fault does not occur on power up.
