Description
Genius HHM connected to Genius bus can be used to determine the firmware revision on a VersaMax Genius NIU module (IC200GBI001). There are other ways to determine the GNIU firmware revision (ie: Genius Datagram), but the quickest way would be to use a Genius HHM assuming that there are Genius blocks or 90-70 GBC connected to the same Genius bus.
Resolution
Using Genius HHM (IC660HHM501)
- Connect HHM to any Genius block (or any other Genius device on the bus which has an HHM connector) on the Genius bus.
- From HHM main menu, select F2:Analyze
- Then F3:Block/BUS STS
- Select nxt (F1) to scroll through Genius devices. Find the SBA of the VersaMax GNIU. The screen should come up with "Unsupported Dev". Firmware revision will be shown as vX.0. The picture below shows the firmware revision of a VersaMax GNIU which has been assigned an SBA of 11.
