Beginning with PAC Machine Edition (PME) v10.6, the way descriptions for User-Defined Types (UDT), User-Defined Function Blocks (UDFB), and Specialty Function Blocks (Control Modules (CM) and Module Type Packages (MTP)) instances are handled has changed. This update was made based on customer feedback requesting a more consistent and centralized method of managing descriptions for large-scale applications with many repeated UDT instances.

There is a new Option parameter introduced in PME v10.6 and later called "Prefix Element Description" to aid with UDT/UDFB description behavior. Please download the available article and review the changes and step by step instructions for how to migrate from earlier versions of PME.
