PACMotion™ VFD provides a dedicated Hoist Mode function to assist with safe commissioning of the drive in hoist applications.

Hoist mode provides the following operation features:-
• Direct control of the motor electromechanical holding brake.
• Pre-magnetization and pre-torque of the motor prior to brake release.
• Detection of brake fault and trip.
• Holding torque during brake application on stopping.

This document describes how to enable the Hoist Mode function, and the parameters which can  be adjusted to optimize its operation.
