This video explains how to make a complete backup of the PACEdge software on the device and then restore it on the same or even different PACEdge device. This can be used as a tool to create a “Golden Image” and then install it on many other devices.

This utility will backup and later restore a complete PACEdge installation, including OS, Applications, configuration data, passwords, licenses, etc. Note, since license is attached to a particular physical unit, when restoring on the same unit it will result in a valid license again, but if backup image is being used as a golden image, and restored on a different physical unit, then the license will have to be manually updated afterwards.

To get a new license for a specific PACEdge unit you will have to contact Emerson Customer Care, or you can backup your licenses prior to making Restore operation. Please consult instructions in PACEdge 2.2.0 User Manual for how to back up license file.
